The Austin child puncher was recently taken into custody by local authorities. According to the police reports, the man allegedly punched two small children in the face for no reason whatsoever. The man was detained and charged with injury to a child, and a magistrate set a bond of $85,000.
The Austin Child Puncher – A Most Unusual Case
An Austin Police Department spokesperson admitted this is, without a doubt, one of the most unusual cases to be tackled by their officers. The events leading to the man’s arrest started to unfold on the 29th of December when a police car was dispatched to investigate a disturbance which took place at a Shell Gas Station.
The caller told the 911 operator that while walking to the gas station with his nephew, an African-American person ran towards them and punched his 5-year-old in the face. Also, the caller said that neither he nor his nephew did or say anything in order to provoke the individual.
Shortly arriving at the scene, the officer asked the man to describe the suspect, while the boy was being treated by the paramedics. Based on the suspect’s description, the authorities discovered that a similar event took place a couple of weeks before, this time involving grandmother and her niece.
While walking her niece home, the woman was the suspect running towards them. Before they could react, the suspect punched the little girl in the face and made off long before the police arrived. Unfortunately, the little girl needed emergency medical attention, as the doctors discovered several skull injuries.
Working with the descriptions supplied by both eyewitnesses, the authorities managed to identify and arrest the Austin, child puncher. The suspect was IDed as 23-year-old Qvontay McKnight from the same town.
