On Monday, Michael Jones, a Kansas bail bondsman, was sentenced to life in prison after he murdered his 7-year-old son and fed his remains to the pigs. According to prosecutors, the child’s sad death followed a life of abuse and starvation.
Jones Was Not Able to Face His Relatives
This March, the 46-year-old pleaded guilty to murdering his son, Adrian Jones, in the fall of 2015. On Monday, the court sentenced him to life in prison. The murderer will receive the possibility of applying for parole after serving a minimum of 25 years. His wife and the child’s stepmother, Heather Jones, also received a life sentence, the woman failing to prove she tried to stop her husband from abusing his son.
During the trial, the bail bondsman kept his back to his family, refusing to make eye contact with his relatives who insisted that the man should never be allowed to see the light of the sun ever again. His mother, grandmother, and older sister were all appalled by his action, recounting, in great detail, his violent nature and propensity to cruelty.
Adrian Died a Terrible Tormenting Death
Adrian lived a tortured life. He was beaten, starved, locked in a modified shower stall, stunned for over 20 seconds at a time with a taser, obligated to spend the night up to his neck in a pool filled with stagnant water, and strapped to an inversion table – all because of his father’s twisted thirst for violence.
After the boy’s death, Jones once again showed no mercy, cutting the boy into pieces and feeding him to the pigs. It took the authorities two months to realize that the boy was missing, looking into the matter after the step-mother filed a complaint for abuse.
Officers found Adrian’s remains scattered in the pigs’ stall. About 30 cameras placed throughout the Kansas property offered more than enough evidence to how the couple treated the child.
