What are your thoughts so far on the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild? Well, if you count yourself among the lucky ones who managed to buy a Nintendo Switch console, you’re probably too busy exploring Hyrule to answer this question or to read this article. Meanwhile, the PC master race adepts are still keeping tabs on CEMU’s progression.
So, not wanting to disappoint their fans, the group of developers recently announced that the game’s latest version, entitled Update 1.7.4, is almost ready to be released. While this is good news indeed, we still don’t know how long we will have to wait in order to actually play the game on our PC of if CEMU’s emulated version of Breath of The Wil is legit or not.
Well, if we are to consider CEMU’s philosophy, we shouldn’t feel guilty about wanting to play Wii U/Nintendo Switch games on our PCs, provided that we have a legit physical copy of the game. Yes, that is right – the group believes in intellectual rights and is, therefore, against piracy. This means that the soft itself is legit, and, according to the group’s statements, it would seem that the proper way to play The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild on your PC is actually to go to the story and buy the game.
Now, as for the game’s latest 1.7.4 update, it would seem that the developers managed to fix some of the major bugs left behind by update 1.7.4. According to CEMU’s official page, update 1.7.4 delivered many visual improvements including lighting, grass rendering, and, of course, the pesky glitch which made the character drop through texture.
CEMU also said that they’ve also fixed a couple of issue regarding swimming, using stasis stones, stopping time, and some glitches which prevented the player from solving puzzles.
So, what about the emulator? When will we be able to download and play Zelda? Team CEMU announced that update 1.7.5 is slated for launch on the 8th of April. However, if you’ve generous enough to donate some money for the company’s worthy cause, you will be able to test the new update before it is released.
Now, in order to play the game on your PC, you will need to buy the game from any store, copy the contents of the physical game on an SD memory, download the emulator, and follow the on-screen instructions.
