The latest news reported the Dalai Lama assured the public he’s in good health in his visit to Minneapolis. The 80 year old Tibetan Buddhist gave a lecture to 3, 000 people at the Minneapolis Convention Center. His original intention was to take his medical exam for his prostate condition at Mayo Clinic.

Dressed in his famous red and yellow robe, the Dalai Lama spoke to almost 3, 000 people for over three hours. He sat on a golden chair surrounded by flowers and bowls of fruit and rice. He lectured the faithful about compassion, happiness and inner beauty. Also, he gave a speech on the ‘Eight Verses of Mind Training’, which is a famous Buddhist teaching.

He had cancelled the U.S visits in October after Mayo physicians recommended him to rest and take care of his medical state. However, at the recent event the Dalai Lama assured the public he’s in good health even if has been receiving treatment for prostate problems for 10 years.

Tsewang Chokden, media coordinator for the Tibetan-American Foundation of Minnesota, claimed:

“It’s an extremely joyous occasion. After having been through this treatment, everyone was interested in his health and well-being. After seeing him here looking vibrant and healthy, we are all very excited today.”

Thousands of people admire the Dalai Lama’s way of teaching and his methods to maintain a good spiritual life. The Tibetan audience wore the traditional chupa and listened to the Buddhist’s speech with their children. Many individuals claimed they brought their kids to expose them to various ways of thinking and worshipping. Few of them even stepped into the aisle to receive the traditional prayers.

People claimed the Dalai Lama’s teachings are very important for them and their families. Some of them stated they watch the Dalai Lama on Youtube on a regular basis. However, the faithful explained that seeing his holiness in flesh and bones is a blessing. The public confessed they were very thankful to see the elderly Tibetan Buddhist so energetic and vibrant.
