Attention is required from gamers around the world: the famous franchise Final Fantasy has yet one more chapter for them. Developers at Square Enix are soon to release the fifteenth part of the series, and it is due to September 30, 2016.
The story with Final Fantasy began in 1987, when Japanese creator Hironobu Sakaguchi started his project, and it has been successful ever since. Moreover, the long-lasting franchise doesn’t seem to be anywhere close to its grand finale.
Since the release date is approaching, the game developers also thought of releasing DLC Season passes (individual episodes of the extended version of the game). According to Kotaku, the six packs are not finished yet: DLC 1: Booster Pack (Working Title); DLC 2: Episode Gladio (Working Title); DLC 3: Holiday Pack (Working Title); DLC 4: Episode Ignis (Working Title); DLC 5: Episode Prompto (Working Title); DLC 6: Expansion Pack (Working Title). The price for the season passes is estimated at $25.
The Final Fantasy series is famous for its realistic graphics and characters, and for the thrilling experience of playing it. Although the stories of the different games released so far don’t really have a connection between them, the concept is still popular as fans want more and more of it.
The game developers have all reasons to be satisfied with their project, as it brings them massive incomes. Breath Cast relays on other publications (GameSpot, CinemaBlend) to report on the numbers that talk about the economic benefits of the game:
“According to GameSpot, the game was able to generate roughly around $502 million in revenue during the previous quarter alone. Their profit was around $87 million and it was all mostly through the PC and digital downloads division. Also, according to Cinema Blend, Square Enix’s’ core gaming division have made $368 million in revenue. The site also foresees that once the game comes out, it will generate more than $260 million more for the publisher. The game might generate $470 million in revenue only within a year. More or less, about 10 million might be sold world wide; ending up to an astonishing gross revenue of $730 million.”
Final Fantasy IV was released last summer, June 23, 2015.
Passionate gamers will be able to purchase and play Final Fantasy XV starting September 30, on their Xbox One and PlayStation 4. So if you are a true gamer, you can’t possibly miss the chance of enlarging your game collection with Final Fantasy XV.
