Recent news reported gamers around the world will be thrilled: Rocket League is coming to Xbox One next week.
Psyonix, the game developer, announced Rocket League will come with new features apart from the Xbox One version. Rocket League was firstly made public last year, at the Game Awards show. The company promised the game will come to Xbox with exclusive packages.
The Microsoft edition will feature brand new cars designed after Halo and Gears of War. Also, there will be in-game items with themes taken from Sunset Overdrive. The new version of Rocket League will include three DLC packs.
The new contents are: “Supersonic Fury” – Two Premium Battle-Cars, 12 Decals, 5 Paint types, 2 Rocket Trails, 2 Wheels; “Revenge of the Battle-Cars” – Two Premium Battle-Cars, 12 Decals, 3 Paint types, 2 Rocket Trails, 2 Wheels,4 Toppers, 2 Antennas; “Chaos Run” – Two Premium Battle-Cars, 12 Decals, 2 Wheels, 2 Rocket Trails, 3 Toppers, 3 Antennas.
In addition, one special downloadable content —Back to the Future’s Delorean—will be released at the same time as the Xbox version. However, an official price for it wasn’t established yet. Psyonix recently announced their plan to aggressively support the Xbox One edition by creating a balance with the PS4 and PC releases.
Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Psyonix, declared:
‘we were able to bring Rocket League to XB1 with a high level of performance and fidelity’.
What’s more, the Xbox One version will feature multiple 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4. These updates will enable gamers to play Rocket League both online and offline. They include competitive play and matches which can be accessed by several Mutators in order to modify the game’s rules. Snow Day Hocket mode and garage items are also included.
Nonetheless, this version won’t have a cross-platform option to allow users to compete against each other in online racing. Rocket League became a hit from the moment of its release.
The game is mainly the same as its predecessor Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. The players are in control of a car which is used to hit a ball towards the other team’s field in order to score points. The game resembles soccer, with items similar to a demolition derby.
Psyonix announced that Rocket League was sold in one million copies which quickly made it very famous among game enthusiasts. Now, gamers around the world will be thrilled: Rocket League is coming to Xbox One next week, on February 17th.
