Google Office suite (Sheet, Slides, and Docs) was just a simple alternative for Microsoft Office and LibreOffice. Now, with this new update, Google Docs has become more than that. Google has made a lot of progress with this new update and has added many interesting features which are going to help users write better and faster.
One of the best features that were integrated into the update is the citation feature. Because it is a Web-based Office suite, citations should be easy to integrate. Now you can just go online and add a citation in APA, Chicago Manual Style, and MLA. This is a great feature, especially for students who are now writing their papers.
The citation feature is great because you can search online and add at the same time, you won’t have to go to different tabs and spend a lot of time writing all the details. All you have to do is pick the citation and what style you would like to use, Google will do the rest.
Many people mentioned that this is not a new feature because there are a lot of apps and programs that generate a citation. The difference here is that you just have to click and not to write the name of the author or the book. This means that it is much easier and faster.
Another thing that has been appreciated in some of the reviews of Google Docs is the style, the design of the office suite. The interface is highly usable, so everybody can use the office suite without worrying that they are not good with technology. The fact that it has all the menus and toolbars well designed makes Google Docs a great office suite.
A great feature for those who do teamwork and can’t get together to finish a project is the revision and collaboration feature. This feature lets you go back to the original document even after other people made changes on it. You can also see what the other people added and change it if you want to.
All in all, Google has made some interesting changes with this update for its Google Docs. Let’s hope that users like this new update and that Google will introduce new features soon.
