Hudson Driver Involved in a Minor Car Accident
According to the authorities, on Tuesday, 28-year-old Ricardo Montanez was arrested at his 54A Ledge Road residence after being involved in a road rage accident. The man was charged with simple assault and booked into county jail.
The event was caught on tape by Jennifer Needham, a motorist that happened to be in the same area when the incident occurred, and it involved a scuffle that might have ended badly between Montanez and an unknown woman driver.
Needham’s movie reveals that Montanez, who was driving a red Toyota Venza, had a minor road accident with a woman who was driving a black Toyota Prius. The movie shows the woman leaving her vehicle in order to confront a visibly enraged Montanez.
After a brief word exchange, the Hudson driver can be seen shoving the woman, who fell on her back on the snow-covered sidewalk. The woman can be seen getting back on her feet while holding her head.
During the interview, the authorities learned that it was Montanez who first approached the female driver shortly after the accident and that the woman went to his vehicle for clarifications. Fortunately, no one was injured during the event.
The Hudson driver was arrested and charged with simple assault, a misdemeanor on Tuesday. Later that day, the man returned home after paying his $5,000 bond. Montanez is expected before the court on the 22nd of March. Hudson authorities recommended that we keep a safe distance from violent drivers.
