When was the last you’ve combed your hair with a professional hairbrush? Brushing your hair can be quite tricky, especially if you don’t have the proper tools at your disposal. Professional hairbrushes and hair treatment seldom cost a few dollars. Luckily, two companies from the United States joined forces to create a truly unique product, one that will greatly improve the health of your follicles.
Kerastase and tech company Withings recently created what most of us would call a smart hairbrush. This amazing product is called Hair Coach, and, according to its makers, it’s more than a simple hairbrush – it’s a whole hairstyling studio locked inside a plastic handle.
Hair Coach, the world’s first smart hairbrush, is outfitted with hundreds of tiny sensors, that can tell more about your hair than your dermatologist or hairstylist can. This is the ultimate hair care tool, a must-have for someone who wishes to maintain the hair’s health and aspect.
The smart hairbrush can you the exact health status of your hair, and, if necessary, will recommend treatments. As you would image, most hair product recommended by the smart hairbrush are from Kerastase, but you can also use your favorite ones.
Hair Couch is also capable of detecting the texture of your locks using a powerful built-in microphone. So, whenever you decide to brush your hair, the tiny microphone will pick up the sound made by your locks striking the hairbrushes pins, and determine if your hair is dry, oily, or even damaged.
Another cool feature is the haptic feedback. How does it work? You probably recall all those times when you used to brush your hair so hard, that you ended ripping tons of flocks from your hair. This usually happens when your hair gets tangled, and you are forced to put some effort into untangling your hair.
Now, the haptic sensor will issue an audio warning each time you yank your hair too hard so that you won’t need to bite your tongue to deal with the pain. Naturally, this one of a kind smart hairbrush comes with its own smartphone application.
So, should you buy this smart hairbrush or not? If you have hair-related problems all the times, then a tool that can diagnose and treat the condition will surely be an asset. However, don’t expect the product to be cheap.
