Pokemon Go developers revealed the new Pokemon Go device they have announced at the beginning of the summer. It is called Pokemon Go Plus, and it is an additional device to the app, which allows you to catch Pokemon without using your smartphone.
The company first released information on the new Pokemon Go device back in June, but it is only now when it comes to light. It is due to hit the stores next week, on September 16.
How does the new Pokemon Go device function? It’s quite simple. This technological accessory comes in the shape of a bracelet. Players wear it around their wrist and connect it to their smartphones via Bluetooth. What the bracelet does is draw your attention whenever a Pokemon is around you. The device is set to vibrate as a signal that you must prepare to catch the creature.
The tech bracelet displays a button which helps you control the Pokeballs. By pressing the button, you launch a Pokeball to catch a Pokemon. You can also collect items at Pokestops thanks to the wearable.
One of the great advantages of the tech bracelet is that it works without using the smartphone’s screen. Although the application still runs, you can save the battery of your mobile phone by using the bracelet.
Players can also find another advantage about the new Pokemon Go device. There is no need for them to pay attention to the game anymore. They can focus on other activities as well and leave the Pokemon hunt to the bracelet. As it announces users about the presence of the cartoon-like creatures by vibrating, the users don’t have to spend their time staring at their phones’ screens.
As far as the price of the new Pokemon Go device is concerned, no official information has been released yet. However, in June, the developers’ company, namely Nintendo, announced that the Pokemon Go accessory would be sold for $35.
Nintendo was also present at Apple’s launch event on September 7. It is at the event where officials from the company announced yet another product, quite similar to Pokemon Go Plus. The new product is a smartwatch they are developing, and it will be compatible with the popular game.
September 16 is the official release date of the wearable in the United States, Japan, New Zealand and Australia. It is most likely that the new Pokemon Go device will be soon available in other countries in the world too.
