A man from Florida murdered his wife with a pipe wrench after discovering that she was expecting another man’s child.
A man from Hollywood, Florida was recently arrested and charged with first-degree murder after he killed his pregnant wife with a pipe wrench. After committing the murder, the man went outside and waited for the police to arrest. Three children were inside the house when the man killed his wife.
Hollywood Man Kills Pregnant Wife with Pipe Wrench
On early Wednesday morning, the authorities answered to a 911 call originating from 5800 Block of Thomas Street. The dispatcher declared that a man heard screaming coming from a nearby home, and called the police.
When officers arrived at the address, they’ve found 48-year-old Claude Sejour sitting in front of his home. According to the Florida Police Department, as soon as the man saw the police officers heading towards his house, he went straight to them and said that he got angry and murdered Marie Joseph, his 40-year-old wife.
The baffling story of Marie Joseph’s murder began earlier that day. According to the man’s statements, the woman came up to him that she’s pregnant, but that the child allegedly belongs to her boyfriend. Moreover, according to Claude, after telling him about the unexpected pregnancy, Joseph called the baby’s father and put him on speaker.
That’s when the man got angry, grabbed the pipe wrench from the kitchen, and hit the 40-year-old woman until she was no longer breathing. After murdering his wife, Sejour got out of the house and, reportedly told one of his neighbors about what he did back there.
Sejour’s Oldest Daughter Was Trying to Wake Up Her Mother
Hearing about the man’s deed, his neighbor rushed inside the house and found the woman lying unconsciously on the floor, face covered in blood. The man tried to wake up Joseph, but seeing that she’s unresponsive, he lifted her hand in order to take her pulse. Joseph was already dead.
When the authorities arrived and entered Sejour’s home, they’ve found Claude’s oldest daughter, a 17-year-old, violently shaking her mother’s body in an attempt to wake her up. The police report states that there were three other children inside the house, the youngest one being 4-years-old.
Claude Sejour was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. So far, the suspect has been cooperative, giving the investigators all the details about his wife’s murder. He also admitted that this wasn’t the first time he argued with his wife over the children.
Authorities said that the detectives and criminal lab are still working on the crime scene in order to collect evidence.
