One of the most popular adult websites in the world, PornHub wants to make the first space porn movie ever.
The website started a crowdfunding campaign to raise $3.4 million in order to start producing the first space porn movie.
PornHub launched the campaign at the beginning of last week through the popular crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.
The website even has a name for this unique adult movie: Sexporations.
According to the site, the movie will star porn stars Johnny Sins and Eva Lovia.
Asked where they want to shoot the movie, PornHub said that it would very much like to use Virgin Galactic’s Spaceship 2 as the set for the first space porn movie in history.
PornHub said that the spacecraft can only carry six people and each person needs to pay about $250,000.
However, Spaceship 2 is not operational at present and it will take some time until it can be used as that background for the first sex movie of astronomical proportions.
One of the spokespersons for PornHub stated that this is very serious and the team that will be responsible for making the movie has already made the necessary research in terms of logistics.
The male porn star, Johnny Sins, has said that if it will be made, the movie will be a unique experience for him and a groundbreaking move for the porn industry.
Although there have been many pornographic movies set in space, none has actually been shot in space.
Many wonder how would this possible. Is sex in space doable? According to a conference held in 2006 by Sex in Space panel, where they talked about the “biological, emotional, and physical issues” regarding space sex, the experts said that although some sexual activities might be difficult, space sex is actually possible.
On the first day when PornHub launched its crowdfunding campaign for the first space porn movie, it managed to raise more than $9,000.
On Saturday, the sum has gone up to $16,600 from 849 people who donated money to see this movie come true.
If PornHub manages to raise $3.4 million, Sexplorations will be released sometime in 2016.
