GoPro Hero+ is the symbol of action digital cameras, small devices that record an extremely wide perspective, can be installed on anything from headgear to mountain bikes and can endure the harshness of various sports activities without missing anything. The gadget has a price of $200 and looks like the traditional GoPro, while shooting videos in 1080p quality.
It is a good option if you do not want to give many dollars on an outdoor camera, even if it does not have a detachable battery and a back LCD to help you see what you are filming, two key elements to consider.
The camera has a lens, a frontal LCD and a series of buttons: for recording, powering it up and for settings. Compared to other more expensive devices, you cannot take the Hero+ out of its case pr detach the battery for fast charging on the go. That reduces its means of usage, since you will not be able to install it in a stabilizing gimbal for filming on drones, for example.
The digicam measures 2.8”x2.7”x1.2” and has a weight of a little over 4 oz. It contains the same flexible foot that is on many cameras, as well as a pair of sticky installs (one for smooth working areas and one for rounded surfaces). The stabilizer can be eliminated with a regular thumbscrew that allows users to substitute it with any variety of equipment and resources that are available.
An issue that is constant in all GoPro designs continues to be here: there is no tripod attachment in the foot, this meaning that you will have to spend money on an additional tool to use the digicam on a tripod.
When you pull the Hero+ from its box, it is already placed in its water resistant case, with its closed back entrance. This solid carcass is ranked for use at down to 130 feet under water. The Hero+ does not have a View LCD, so you will have to buy a costlier device from the series for that live performance.
But there is an incorporated Wi-Fi feature and when you connect the Hero+ to your Android or iOS device, you can watch video clips through the camera’s lens thanks to its free GoPro application. It is useful for taking multiple shots, but after you begin filming, the video editing options cannot be accessed instantly
The application is also useful when you have to modify the digicam’s configurations. Without it, you are restricted to setting the device using the little LCD on the side. The three control buttons are great to go around through choices and change video capturing settings, which is a confusing experience to say the least.
People frequently forget which key they used to get from one selection to another, and which was utilized to modify various configurations. When you also consider the fact that its LCD is not backlit, making it quite challenging to work in darker places, you will be grateful that you can set the digicam using the application.
