Easy on the red meat if you really value your well-being!

After the announcement from WHO that stated how red meat increases the likelihood of colorectal cancer, people started to wonder if there is a method of eating red meat the right way to keep that awful cancer away.

The World Health Organization has raised points that mostly didn’t surprise anyone. Red meat and processed meat products will raise the risk of cancer about 17% for an average adult. This occurs when the diet consists of over 18 ounces of red meat per week or if the diet contains any processed meat goods at all.

Considering that the average chance an adult will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer is about 247 to 1, these findings should put people on alert when it comes to an unhealthy diet. This diet is not directly linked to cancer though, one of the reasons being that if you have a larger intake of red meat, you vegetable and plant diet decreases with it. This make the phytonutrients that plants contain which stave off cancer to drop drastically.

One of the reasons why these types of meat become carcinogenic is the processes through which they are created. Smoking, salting and curing are carcinogenic on their own, so mixing them with red meat makes a pretty dangerous combo.

Even so, this does not mean that a normal human shouldn’t eat meat at all. It’s basically just as with any food or drink out there: moderation is the key to success. Any exaggeration in diet will lead to various diseases so a balanced diet is strongly advised.

The recent studies revolving around what you should eat and how you should eat it in order to prevent various diseases has left people with mixed feelings, being forced to choose between eating and drinking what they love with the risk of a shorter lifespan and a balanced and healthy diet. But as always, this will always be the choice of every individual.

Would you rather live in the moment and do what you love with the risks that it comes with or would you approach carefully everything around you with the fear of an early death? The answer to this differs from person to person, in accord with their ideologies and personal beliefs.

But considering that 34.000 people die every year due to cancer that may have been caused by the excess of red and processed meat in their diet, this is not something that should be approached in a laughable manner.

But through careful moderation, eating red meat the right way in order to keep that awful cancer away is not such a hard challenge to face in order to keep yoru body healthy for a longer period of time.
