SpaceX Is Planning to Build a Martian City

"SpaceX Is Planning to Build a Martian City"

SpaceX and Mars One are officially racing to build the first colony on the Red Planet.

Elon Musk founded SpaceX with the intention of stepping foot on the Red Planet, so it’s no surprise that SpaceX is planning to build a Martian City. But the real-life Tony Stark has competition, and there is no telling who will be the one raising dome houses on Mars, SpaceX or Mars One.

Before inventing the Mars architect job and adding “Planet of Origin” on our IDs, SpaceX must first finish developing the reusable rocket. And they are now one step closer to doing so.

Only last week, Musk’s company managed to land the Falcon 9 rocket on the “Of Course I Still Love You” drone ship. A couple of more test runs and they will be able to figure out the landing systems of the rocket. Next, they will spruce up the Falcon rocket generation, and they will manage to obtain the means of transportation of the first crew that will travel to Mars.

Of course, they have to do that before Mars One does it. The latter announced that they are trying to reach the Red Planet on 2027. The company situated in The Netherlands has already made out a tight schedule for the Mars colonization.

According to what the company has declared, the first crew is scheduled to land on the Red Planet in 2027. Then, if all goes well, and the first wave of colonists are able to build the foundation of a city, a second group should arrive by 2029.

Ultimately, they want to continue sending people every two years until a colony is formed. But SpaceX is planning on building a Martian city, too, so the two companies are now racing to be the first to lift a hammer on the Red Planet.

SpaceX is planning to build a Martian city, and Mars One is already scheduling the trips to the planet. Maybe the thought that the competition may be one step closer will drive the two companies towards success. And in ten years or so we will be watching the first step that a human takes on Mars.

Now that will be yet another giant leap for humankind. The dream is starting to look more feasible by the minute, and the manned mission to Mars that sounded more like a Gary Sinise movie than an actual endeavor will take place as scheduled.

SpaceX is planning to build a Martian city, and if we learned anything from Tesla, the price of a house will be steep.
