During the Chicago Auto Show which just happened this weekend, the roadster fans were shown the next-generation car that is expected to hit the showrooms this coming summer.
In its most recent press release, Mazda mentioned that the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata showcases various accessories from the catalog which includes side sill extensions, an aero kit that has a front air dam, a rear bumper skirt and a rear lip spoiler. According to reports, it will also get a Brembo brake kit, a carbon fiber luggage rack weighing no more than two pounds and BBS 17×7-inch wheels.
The accessories for the body trim are black providing a distinction to the white Ceramic Metallic paint of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata.
According to Jim O’Sullivan, President and CEO of the North American Operations of Mazda, the company wants to go on building the MX-5 history at the Chicago Auto Show. He also mentioned that the MX-5 is the soul of Mazda and its enthusiasts that follow both inside and outside of Mazda is pushing the company to keep on innovating and come up with new ideas for it.
Reportedly, the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata kicks the trend of big autos as it downsized with a car that is shorter than the past generation of MX-5 by four inches.
