Many of us love to cook. Some are better than others, sure, but we all dream that one day we will become master chefs.
But to cook a perfect dish one needs more than talent; one also needs the perfect cooking tools.
And what can be better than a smart oven that can recognize the food it’s about to cook and cook it perfectly?
A team of engineers from San Francisco has designed and created a smart oven that was programmed to recognize the food one puts in and cook it perfectly each time.
The startup company named the smart oven June and describes it as being large enough to fit entire pizzas and big roasts.
According to its developers, the smart oven features a five inch touch screen display, an Nvidia processor and digital scale
Also, the oven comes with a wide-angle HD camera built inside that works in combination with intelligent algorithm that helps the oven identify the type of food it’s about to cook and how much time it needs to cook it.
The company that designed the smart cooking device said that the oven can recognize most common types of foods, including bread and meats.
The developers added that they are currently working on the robot oven to add more features to it so that it can recognize a larger variety of food types.
Matt Van Horn, CEO and cofounder of the company, explained that at the moment, the smart oven can expertly cook dishes and foods like chicken, steak, white fish, cookie dough, toast, brownie mix, bagels and even hamburger buns.
The smart oven comes with an app that keeps the user informed on the progress of the cooking and sends alerts when the food is done, or close enough.
This app can also be utilized as a remote control for adjusting the temperature of the oven or for turning it off completely.
Tracking the temperature of the oven is very important, especially for baked goods or meats.
This means that your favorite banana bread will come out of the oven golden-crusted and deliciously steamy.
The smart oven features a collection of recipes that will come handy for users who want to prepare meals.
According to the company that created it, the oven will be available in stores starting July 10.
The oven can be pre-ordered for the price $1,495 or it can be purchased after the release date for $2,995.
