North Carolina Man Charged with Trying to Recruit Supporter for Islamic State

Mar 21, 2018 By Benjamin Teh Leave a Comment

Islamic State Group

North Carolina man to be sentenced for trying to recruit US citizens for Islamic State group.

The North Carolina authorities recently charged a 37-year-old old man with the intent of creating a terroristic group on US soil. He was arrested back in 2016 when the law enforcement officers discovered that he was communicating with the Islamic State group on social media.

Suspect Prepared Detailed Material for Islamic State Group

On Tuesday, 37-year-old Erick Jamal Hendriks was brought before an Akron jury to answer for charges related to terrorism. According to the court documents, Hendriks was taken into custody in 2016, after the authorities intercepted troubling messages on Hendriks’ social media account.

Allegedly, for the past couple of years, Hendriks has been communicating extensively with what authorities believe to be a member or representative of the Islamic State. Among the messages, Hendriks exchanged with the unknown person were carefully prepared notes on homeland targets, as well as a detailed plan of how to recruit more members to the cause.

The authorities also discovered that Hendriks used the same social media account to reach out to various people interested in recruitment. The prosecutions show that the North Carolina man’s goal was to create an entirely operational terroristic group in the United States, capable of carrying out attacks on designated targets.

Hendriks did not make any attempts to refute the allegations. He’s due to appear in court at an unspecified date in order to hear his sentence. If found guilty, Hendriks might face life in prison.

U.S. officials have stepped in their efforts to root out terroristic group after the incident with the Muslim teenager who nearly decapitated his friend during a sleepover party, as his comments offended the teen’s religious beliefs.

Although the cases are unconnected, it does point out that the Islamic State’s agenda includes recruiting people who are willing to bring more people to the cause.

Killer Nanny Possessed by Blood-Hungry Demon, Sister Claims

Killer Nanny Was Possessed

Yoselyn Ortega’s on-going trials reveal that even before the Krim slayings there were a lot of red flags concerning the killer nanny’s change of behavior. Taking the stand on her behalf, Ortega’s sister claimed that her sister was possessed by a supernatural entity that enthralled her into committing the murders and that killer nanny slaying could have been averted if the parents paid more attention to their employee.

Killer Nanny Claimed being Taunted by ‘Black Man’

As Yoselyn Ortega’s trial continues, judge and jury have begun interviewing key witnesses. This week, Miladys Garcia, Yoselyn Ortega’s 64-year-old sister from the Dominican Republic, took the witness stand.

According to her statement, Garcia spoke on the phone with the killer nanny hours before she slit the throats of 2-year-old Leo Krim and 6-year-old Lulu Krim. Ortega’s sister described the woman’s voice as not being her own, grinding her teeth at regular intervals like she was possessed by something truly evil.

More than that, the woman declared that her sister often spoke of a disembodied entity, whom she dubbed the ‘black man’ that spoke evil things to her and even threatened to kill both families.

Kevin Krim, the father of Leo and Lulu, was outraged when the killer nanny’s sister claimed that he and his wife were responsible for the slayings, as they’ve ignored the telltale signs of her murderous insanity.

The prosecutor riposted and accused Miladys of keeping silent about her sister’s behavioral changes. However, the woman declared that her sister had bouts of melancholy and sadness and that she didn’t think they were serious.

At the beginning of the trial, the killer nanny’s attorney pleaded not guilty on the reason of insanity. If Ortega is found guilty on these legal grounds, she might spend the rest of her life behind bars.

Costco Amateur Thieves Were Recognized by Store Employee

According to the Seattle Police Department, last week, they were contacted by a Costco employee about a suspicious couple sighted in the store.

Upon arriving on the premises, the police officers discovered a car driven by an 18-year-old woman blocking the store’s fire escape with its engine still running. The authorities took the young woman into custody, blocked the fire escape, and waited for the thieves to show up.

The entire incident was recorded on body camera. After arresting the 18-year-old driver, who was obviously waiting for the couple to come out through the fire door, the police officers could be heard laughing and making humorous remarks regarding this incident.

The authorities waited around 30 minutes in front of the fire doors before the couple came rushing to the car. They didn’t even have a chance to react as they were carrying a couple of boxes with electronics.

One of the body cameras shows one of the officers lunging at the suspect, who dropped the package in an attempt to run inside the store.

Conclusion

According to the authorities, the Costco amateur thieves manage to steal $2,200 worth of merchandise which included computer components and a vacuum cleaner.

The suspects were later booked into jail and charged with robbery. Police revealed that the man and woman used a similar MO to steal from another Costco store.

Otter Attacks Woman

A 77-year-old woman was attacked by an otter on the Braden River.

A Florida senior citizen was reportedly attacked by an otter during a kayaking trip on the Braden River. After the incident, the woman was taken to the hospital where she needed several stitches and rabies shots. The Florida wildlife authorities cautioned kayakers to steer clear of the area where the woman was attacked.

Florida Woman Said Otter Toppled Two Kayaks

Sue Spector, the 77-year-old Florida resident who was recently involved in an unusual event, told the reporters that she and her husband Morty decided to go on a kayaking trip. On early Sunday morning, the couple rowed they’re kayaking up the Braden River, and everything was perfect until Spector saw something lying on a log.

The woman recalls telling her husband that there’s an otter ahead, sitting on a floating log. Curiously enough, as soon as the woman pointed out the seemingly calm creature, the otter left the log and went straight for Spector’s kayak.

Believing that the creature was just being friendly, Spector stopped rowing and remained to pet the gentle creature. However, the otter jumped on Spector’s kayak and began biting and scratching her like crazy.

The woman recalls trying to use the kayak’s paddle in order to drive the animal away, but the animal didn’t seem to mind being struck in the head. Hearing her wife’s scream, Mart went to help her only to get caught in the crossfire, so to say.

Conclusion

The man told a news outlet that he also tried to use the paddle in order to remove the critter, but the otter jumped on his kayak, making it overturn. Seconds later, the animal resumed the attack, overturning Spector’s kayak as well.

Following the event, the Florida woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Colorado Woman Kills Brother Over Inherited Ranch

Mar 7, 2018 By Jose Buttner Leave a Comment

Inherited Ranch

A Colorado woman allegedly murdered her brother to take possession of the man’s multi-million inherited ranch.

The Gunnison County Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested a 33-year-old-year-old woman suspected of having killed her brother to take possession of his inherited ranch. The authorities declared that the man’s body was found buried on the property after an anonymous caller told the deputies where to dig.

Victim Knew Family Would Kill Him Over Inherited Ranch

Mark Mykol, the Gunnison County Undersheriff, reveals 29-year-old Jacob Henry Millison’s drama. Since he inherited the 700-acre ranch in Gunnison county, the man has been living in fear. With the property’s values estimated at several million dollars, Millison knew that, sooner or later, someone would try to take possession of it.

Probably the saddest aspect of the Colorado man’s drama is that someone from his own family murdered him in order to secure the ranch. According to the authorities, Millison went missing in 2015.

Baffling enough, it was Millison’s close friends who alerted the authorities after the man went missing without a trail. Mykol declared that long since before his disappearance, Millison told his friends that his family sought the ranch and that if anything happened to him, then it would probably be someone from his family.

Unfortunately, Mykol refused to release any details of how the man was killed but mentioned that the authorities managed to discover his corpse after an anonymous caller tipped them off as to where to dig.

Conclusion

Following the discovery of Millison’s body, the Gunnison County deputies arrested 33-year-old Stephanie Jackson and charged them with being an accessory to murder and tampering with a cadaver.

At the moment, Jackson has yet to hire an attorney nor to deny the allegations. The woman was booked into county jail where she’s being held in lieu of a $500,000 bond. We will come back with more information as soon as they’re made available.
